Beautiful eye overlaid with digital information

Health information interoperability is a goal that many are pursuing in diverse, sometimes seemingly competing ways. What is the current state of interoperability and where are we going? Dr. Thomas East, CEO/CIO of SYNCRONYS, New Mexico’s health information exchange (HIE), gives us an overview of the types of solutions in place today, the ways they are linking, and how SYNCRONYS fits in.  Dr. East explains what the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) means by Information Blocking and what progress is being made toward achieving the United States Core Dataset for Interoperability (USCDI) goals. Learn about TEFCA, RCE and QHIN, and hear Dr. East describes the FHIR Roadmap.  He introduces you to the latest effort to advance clinical and public health use cases, Health Data Utilities (HUD).
