Public Health Reporting

Public Health Reporting – SYNCRONYS has been authorized by the New Mexico Department of Health to provide Lab Results reporting and Syndromic Surveillance reporting to the New Mexico Department of Health for New Mexico Hospitals.

Syndromic Reporting – The National Syndromic Surveillance Program is used by the CDC to anonymously track public health via diagnostic information collected from Emergency Departments and is being expanded to include inpatient and outpatient visits from both hospital and non-hospital entities. SYNCRONYS collects and maintains a database of this data for the New Mexico Department of Health and forwards an anonymized dataset to the CDC.

Disease Reporting – The New Mexico Electronic Disease Surveillance System is used by the New Mexico Department of Health to collect laboratory-reported diseased such as COVID, Flu, Salmonella, and Measles. SYNCRONYS collects and maintains a database of this data for NMDOH and forwards specific portions of it to them for statistical analysis and contact tracing.
