SYNCRONYS Announces CMS Certification

Albuquerque, NM – August 22nd, 2024 – SYNCRONYS, the State of New Mexico’s designated Health Information Exchange (HIE), has been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in accordance with CMS’ Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) certification requirements.

Working closely with the New Mexico Health Care Authority, SYNCRONYS participated in the MES certification process and now qualifies for enhanced federal matching funds through the streamlined MES certification process. This certification and funding support the ongoing maintenance and operations of the HIE, specifically to support the healthcare and health outcomes for Medicaid beneficiaries.

Through its clinical portal, SYNCRONYS securely exchanges electronic medical records from unrelated healthcare organizations to aggregate an individual’s data into a single clinical longitudinal record. The clinical portal allows authorized healthcare providers to securely access their patient’s record to provide care to their patients. The HIE provides insights into clinical and cost risks, to support data-driven decision-making to improve the quality and patient outcomes.

The certification from the CMS aligns with SYNCRONYS’ vision to be the trusted information resource to support improved health and quality of life for all in New Mexico.
